At the end of 1973
the Parts' Department began with its advertisement in Road and Track. At first
Spares were sold from old Dealer-Stocks. It soon became obvious that it was not
possible to keep pace with waxing demand. Once Lloyd-Motoren-Werke in Bremen
were found, spares were easier to come by. Since then, the original makers of
spares and aftermarket companies were sought. As it has always been a goal to
keep prices low, spares are ordered, made and bulk prices or sought. Sales are
direct to the Borgward Owners. There has never been a "Middleman" in
the United States. (However, it is easier to deal with "Middlemen"
overseas, owing to time, shipping costs and exchange.) Discounts are
offered to B.O.C. Members and to those that buy in quantity.
